Battle of Blenheim: The Duke of Marlborough’s spectacular defeat of 
the hitherto invincible French army of Louis XIV fought on 2nd August 1704.

Battle of Ramillies: The Duke of Marlborough’s second victory in the field over the French army of Louis XIV fought on 12th May 1706: possibly as great a success as the Battle of Blenheim.

Battle of Oudenarde: The Duke of Marlborough’s third victory in the field over the French army of Louis XIV fought on 30th June 1708.

Battle of Malplaquet: The Duke of Marlborough’s fourth, bloodiest and least conclusive victory in the field over the French army of Louis XIV fought on 11th September 1709.
