First Battle of Newbury: An inconclusive battle in the South of England, fought on 20^th September 1643. The Royalists failed to prevent the Earl of Essex marching to London with his Parliamentary army.

Battle of Cropredy Bridge: King Charles I’s personal victory over Sir William Waller’s Parliamentary army in Northern Oxfordshire, fought on 29^th June 1644.

Battle of Marston Moor: The battle that destroyed the Royalist cause in the North of England, fought on 2^nd July 1644.

Battle of Lostwithiel: The battle in Cornwall that was a personal triumph for King Charles I, fought from 11^thAugust to 2^nd September 1644.

Second Battle of Newbury: King Charles I’s drawn battle against the combined Parliamentary armies of the Earl of Essex, the Earl of Manchester and Sir William Waller, fought on 27^th October 1644.

Battle of Naseby: The decisive defeat and destruction of King Charles I’s Royalist Army by the Parliamentary New Model Army led by Sir Thomas Fairfax, fought in Northamptonshire on 14^th June 1645.

Siege of Basing House: The siege and destruction in Hampshire during the English Civil War of one of England’s greatest houses between 1642 and 14^thOctober 1645.

Battle of Dunbar:  Cromwell’s overwhelming defeat of the Scottish Covenanters fighting for King Charles II on 3^rd September 1650.

Battle of Worcester:  The Battle of Worcester fought on 3^rd September 1651 between the Parliamentary army of Oliver Cromwell and the Royalist and Scottish army of King Charles II; the final battle of the English Civil War .
